Ahmad graduated with a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from King Abdulaziz University in 2007. He joined Prof. Chongwu Zhou's group at University of Southern California in 2012 as a PHD student. Currently his research focuses on the electronic and sensing applications of graphene nanoribbons and 2D materials. His research interests include thin-film transistors, sensors and transport study of graphene and other 2D materials. Ahmad has authored and coauthored more than 10 papers in reputable journals (e.g. ACS nano, JACS, Advanced Materials... Etc) and has several pending patent applications.
