Prof. Hamid A. Al-Megren

Prof. Hamid A. Al-Megren received his D.Phil. degree in Chemistry from University of Oxford in United
Kingdom in 2002. Presently he is Research Professor and Assistant Director for Scientific Affairs
of Materials Science Research Institute at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. He is
Guest Professor at China University of Petroleum at Qingdao and at Beijing University of Chemical
Technology at Beijing, China. He is also Editor in Chief for Applied Petrochemical Research journal, an
open access KACST-Springer journal. He is editor for a book title “Advances in Natural Gas Technology”
published by INTECHOPEN in 2012. He has vast experience in field of Heterogeneous Catalysis, and he
is Principal Investigator for several joint research projects run at KACST in cooperation with various
international universities and research centers. He has published more than sixty research papers
in various scientific journals and proceedings of international conferences, and has organized and
participated in various national and international scientific conferences and chaired technical sessions
and technical committees.
